In this presentation, I will present recent work from our group, which is aimed at using a molecular, bottom-up approach for the construction of dynamic materials. Our two main areas of our research will be discussed: 1) functional surfaces, constructed by controlled polymerisation methods, and further modified by supramolecular interactions; 2) circular crosslinked polymers, enabled by introduction of dynamic-covalent bonds within conventional polymer networks, and resulting in thermoset-like materials with good (re)processability.
